BBC 7 http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7 will encore the Jon Pertwee audio
drama The Paradise Of Death in the 7th Dimension time slots weekdays
beginning Monday 17 May. BBC 7 typically airs The Ghosts Of N-Space
(Pertwee) and Slipback (Colin Baker) shortly after airing Paradise.
BBC 7 now archives programmes for 6 days after broadcast. Thanks
David.
Sky One Mix (sister channel to Sky One) aired Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150A.D. on Monday 3 May. I take this as evidence that Sky may have the rights to air this movie on occasion now (it has aired in recent years on Channel 4). A reader of this column who subscribes to Digiguide reports that neither Sky One nor Sky One Mix have the movie scheduled to air again before the end of June.
UKTV Gold & UKTV Gold + 1 will pre-empt Doctor Who again on the weekend of 29 and 30 May for a 3rd marathon of movies from the Carry On series. This would be the third holiday weekend that UKTV Gold has pre-empted Doctor Who, and for the same movie series.
Sky News, one of the major cable/satellite news services in the UK,
is claiming that the BBC has decided to run the first episode of the
new Doctor Who series on Christmas Day 2004. The same story is
featured on Yahoo UK's home page. They site the `Daily Express' as
their source. No author is listed and the Daily Express' web site
does not give access to the original report. The story must be
considered speculation at this time. I wonder what was so much more
compelling about this story than previous claims to get both Sky
News and Yahoo to pick it up. For those interested:

WYBE 35 Philadelphia, PA http://www.wybe.org is airing a Doctor Who pledge drive on May 15 from 8PM to Midnight. The second half of Vengeance on Varos and the first two-thirds of The Two Doctors will be included.

Late night radio listeners recently got a surprise taste of Colin
Baker. During the second hour of the May 2/3 edition of Sci-Fi
Overdrive, the tape broke down around 45 minutes into the hour.
After a bit of silence, Doctor Who music began and the American Who
interview with Colin Baker began. They broke out of the segment for
a commercial break, then ran a different segment from that program
which also got cut off when the hour ended. The network's
programming ran properly from then onwards. If you're into radio, it
was a fascinating example of what happens when tape machines melt
down in the middle of the night.
http://archives.warpradio.com/btr/SciFi/050303.mp3 is the link. See
American Who below to hear the Colin Baker show properly without
technical glitches.
